Ovulation Rapid Test, Midstream (urine)

€12,80
Fertility Womens health

A midstream rapid test that detects the rise of luteinising hormone (LH) in urine to help predict ovulation. A positive result means ovulation is likely within the next 24–36 hours.

Why test?

You are most likely to get pregnant in the few days before ovulation and on the day itself, but timing differs between women and even between cycles. Just before ovulation the level of luteinising hormone (LH) rises sharply. The test detects this surge in urine and helps you find your most fertile days. It is especially useful when planning a pregnancy with an irregular cycle. If you have not conceived within 12 months (6 months if you are over 35), see a doctor. An ovulation test is not a method of contraception.

Common questions

How do I use a midstream ovulation test?
Hold the tip in your urine stream for a few seconds, or dip it into collected urine, then read the result after the stated time.

What time of day is best to test?
Test at the same time each day, usually between 10:00 and 20:00, and drink less fluid for a few hours beforehand.

What if I never get a positive result?
Cycles vary, so keep testing for longer. If no ovulation is detected over several cycles, talk to your gynaecologist.

Rapid tests are for preliminary screening and do not replace a doctor’s consultation.

About this test

Questions about this test

Read the instruction leaflet in the pack before you start. Collect your sample as described, apply it to the test, and read the result within the time stated in the leaflet. Do not read the result after that time.

The accuracy shown on this page comes from the manufacturer's validation data. No self-test is 100% accurate, so a result is an indication, not a diagnosis.

The test is invalid. Do not interpret the result. Repeat the test with a new one and follow the leaflet carefully.

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist. A self-test does not replace a medical consultation, and a negative result does not always rule out a condition, especially if you have symptoms.

Store it as described in the leaflet and keep it sealed until use. Do not use a test after the expiry date printed on the pack.
