Extra-Early Pregnancy Rapid Test, Midstream (urine)

€2,65
Pregnancy Womens health

A high-sensitivity midstream pregnancy test with a colour indicator. It detects hCG in urine from 10 mIU/mL and can be used up to 5 days before your expected period.

Why test?

Early signs of pregnancy – a missed period, breast tenderness, nausea, tiredness, needing to urinate more often – can be subtle or feel like premenstrual symptoms. Pregnancy tests detect the hormone hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), which the body starts producing about 6 days after fertilisation. This test can pick up hCG 5 days before your expected period, but the most reliable result comes from the first day of a missed period. If you do not know your cycle, test no earlier than 21 days after unprotected intercourse. If the result is negative but your period does not start, repeat the test after a few days. Discuss a positive result with a doctor or midwife.

Common questions

How is a midstream test different from a strip?
You hold it directly in the urine stream instead of dipping it into a container. Both detect the same hormone, hCG.

When should I test?
From 5 days before your expected period, but the most reliable result comes on the first day of a missed period with first-morning urine. If negative and your period is late, test again after 48 hours.

What should I do if the test is positive?
Book an appointment with a doctor or obstetrician-gynaecologist to confirm the pregnancy and plan further care.

Rapid tests are for preliminary screening and do not replace a doctor’s consultation.

About this test

Questions about this test

Read the instruction leaflet in the pack before you start. Collect your sample as described, apply it to the test, and read the result within the time stated in the leaflet. Do not read the result after that time.

The accuracy shown on this page comes from the manufacturer's validation data. No self-test is 100% accurate, so a result is an indication, not a diagnosis.

The test is invalid. Do not interpret the result. Repeat the test with a new one and follow the leaflet carefully.

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist. A self-test does not replace a medical consultation, and a negative result does not always rule out a condition, especially if you have symptoms.

Store it as described in the leaflet and keep it sealed until use. Do not use a test after the expiry date printed on the pack.
