Ovulation Rapid Test, Strip (urine)

€5,42
Fertility Womens health

Dip test strips that detect the rise of luteinising hormone (LH) in urine to help predict ovulation. A positive result means ovulation is likely within the next 24–36 hours.

Why test?

You are most likely to get pregnant in the few days before ovulation and on the day itself, but timing differs between women and even between cycles. Just before ovulation the level of luteinising hormone (LH) rises sharply. The test detects this surge in urine and helps you find your most fertile days. It is especially useful when planning a pregnancy with an irregular cycle. If you have not conceived within 12 months (6 months if you are over 35), see a doctor. An ovulation test is not a method of contraception.

Common questions

When should I start testing?
A few days before expected ovulation. With a 28-day cycle, start around day 10–11. The leaflet has a table for other cycle lengths.

What does a positive result mean?
It shows an LH surge – ovulation is likely within 24–36 hours. This is your most fertile time.

Can an ovulation test detect pregnancy?
No. Use a pregnancy test to check for pregnancy.

Rapid tests are for preliminary screening and do not replace a doctor’s consultation.

Ovulation is likely within the next 24–36 hours.Negative: the T line is lighter than the C line, or missing. No LH surge detected – continue testing daily.Invalid: no C line. Repeat with a new test.

About this test

Questions about this test

Read the instruction leaflet in the pack before you start. Collect your sample as described, apply it to the test, and read the result within the time stated in the leaflet. Do not read the result after that time.

The accuracy shown on this page comes from the manufacturer's validation data. No self-test is 100% accurate, so a result is an indication, not a diagnosis.

The test is invalid. Do not interpret the result. Repeat the test with a new one and follow the leaflet carefully.

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist. A self-test does not replace a medical consultation, and a negative result does not always rule out a condition, especially if you have symptoms.

Store it as described in the leaflet and keep it sealed until use. Do not use a test after the expiry date printed on the pack.
