A rapid urine test that detects raised levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and helps you check whether your symptoms may be related to perimenopause or menopause. Not intended for fertility assessment or contraception.

Why test?

Menopause is the natural stage when periods stop, usually between ages 45 and 55. It is preceded by perimenopause, which lasts several years. As the ovarian reserve declines, oestrogen production falls and the pituitary gland produces more FSH. Hormonal changes can cause irregular periods, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep problems, mood swings and vaginal dryness. FSH levels fluctuate during this time, so discuss the result with a doctor – especially if symptoms started before 45.

Common questions

What are the symptoms of menopause?
Irregular periods, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep problems and mood swings are the most common. Menopause usually begins between 45 and 55.

How does the menopause test work?
It detects raised FSH in urine. Because FSH fluctuates, repeat the test as described in the leaflet.

Does a positive result mean I can no longer get pregnant?
No. Pregnancy is still possible during perimenopause. Ask your gynaecologist about contraception and managing symptoms.

Rapid tests are for preliminary screening and do not replace a doctor’s consultation.

Do not read after 10 minutes.Reading the resultPositive: two lines, and the T line is as dark as or darker than the C line. FSH is raised. Note the result and use the table in the leaflet to interpret it.Negative: the T line is lighter than the C line, or missing. FSH is not raised.Invalid: no C line. Repeat with a new test.

About this test

Questions about this test

Read the instruction leaflet in the pack before you start. Collect your sample as described, apply it to the test, and read the result within the time stated in the leaflet. Do not read the result after that time.

The accuracy shown on this page comes from the manufacturer's validation data. No self-test is 100% accurate, so a result is an indication, not a diagnosis.

The test is invalid. Do not interpret the result. Repeat the test with a new one and follow the leaflet carefully.

Speak to a doctor or pharmacist. A self-test does not replace a medical consultation, and a negative result does not always rule out a condition, especially if you have symptoms.

Store it as described in the leaflet and keep it sealed until use. Do not use a test after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Delivery is free on orders over €30 (€50 to Latvia and Estonia). Orders are dispatched from Vilnius within 24 hours on business days. Delivery is usually 1-3 business days in Lithuania and 2-5 business days in Latvia and Estonia. Shipping policy
